Mountain State Waste is excited to announce that our Greene County Transfer Station facility will be opening up to the public starting Saturday, April 2nd!

The station will be available for public use every Saturday, 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM through October.

You may be asking yourself, “What is a transfer station, and why should I care?”.

The answer is very simple. If you have stuff you need to get rid of, you can load it up in your vehicle and get rid of it at the transfer station. Spring has arrived and most everyone has some spring cleaning to do.

So if your spring projects include decluttering, the transfer station is the perfect solution to get rid of your junk! Maybe you’re cleaning out your garage or basement. Maybe you have an old stove or couch you want to get rid of. Load it up and bring to us!

The MSW Transfer Station process is very simple:

  • Pull in with waste in your vehicle.
  • Drive vehicle on our scale to get weighed.
  • Unload your items in our disposal facility
  • Get weighed again on your way out.
  • Pay for the weight of your waste in your vehicle upon exiting the station.

We accept bulky items such as furniture, mattresses, appliance, construction debris, and household waste.

Sorry, but we cannot accept appliances with freon, tires, chemicals, or liquid waste.

We hope to see you soon!
